Donnewbig.jpg - 9kbDon Meixner has been a performer of Folk Music in Central New York for 30 years. He started performing at Auburn Community College in 1971. Don has performed as a single and with friends in various string bands on stages like The Auburn A.O.H and The Kawlija Coffee House at Auburn Community College in Auburn, NY, and The Low Life Cafe in Oswego, NY. Don also performs music specific to New York State and the Erie Canal at Living History sites and libraries in Central New York.

Don has been a fan of Irish and Scots Folk Music since high school so when the opportunity to join the Column presented itself 19 years ago he jumped at the chance.

Besides being a musician and a silversmith Don designs and builds special equipment for people with disabilities. Don lives in Jordan, NY with his wife and three children.
