Once Again, the Column has assembled a group of tunes that represent favorites of family, friends, and band members. From reels and waltzes to sing-a-longs and ballads with the flavor of both country and traditional, we are sure you will find the music both enjoyable and diverse.

There are three originals mixed in with the Column's own arrangements of some Old Irish favorites. You'll be introduced to Dr. Walter Short's Reel, an up-tempo piece Don put together during a rehabilitation period resulting from shaking hands with a table saw. The instrumental melody is dedicated to Dr. Walter Short, the surgeon who gave Don back his fingers.

There's also The Mother's Kiss, a traditional-styled ballad Don penned, influenced heavily by a passage from the forward of a songbook by The Clancy Brothers.

The third original cut is a tune written by Billy in collaboration with friend Jim Maloney. The song, influenced by Bill's fascination with Irish emigration, is titled The Jeanie Johnston. Owned by the Donovan family of Tralee, she rescued thousands of Irish Emigrants from the "Great Famine." The unique history of this ship is the fact she never lost a passenger to either disease or the sea. Another selection, The Old Man, has quickly become a favorite of many of our fans. Amid much discussion, we have decided to dedicate this song to our fathers.

So, Once Again, we hope you enjoy this CD as much as we enjoyed producing it.
